The Height of Fashion

Here she is again with a litle color added to the hat. Too bad I can't put a smile on her face! Scroll down to read about this image.

  5. She's very lovely, even without a smile. I'm not sure anyone could wear a fancy hat like that without at least a little grin, though. :)

  6. I am sure your mother would be smiling to own such a gorgeous hat! What a wonderful photo to have in your family album. I am sure we will be seeing a lot more of her in future (at least I hope we do).

  8. What a beautiful mother, Sharon. And I love her new hat! After my mother died, my sister found 20 or so small wallet sized copies of a photo of my mother. My sister couldn't just throw them out so she sent them to me. I used them to dress up my plainly dressed mom in all sorts of jewelry and clothes. It was fun.

  9. I wonder what your Mother was thinking when she posed for this photo and what she would think now. I bet you would smile.

  11. With a little practice, you CAN make her smile! STEP ONE: copy the layer with her image (so you have two layers). STEP TWO: with the eraser brush set to very soft, erase the upper layer so that all you have is her mouth area - not just the lips, but at least 20-30 pixels around them. STEP THREE: Click on Edit/Transform/Warp. A divided box will appear around her mouth area. You can change the direction of the parts in each section by pulling on the corners. Tinker around with that until you get the look you want.
    hugs!

  12. With a little practice, you CAN make her smile!
STEP ONE: copy the layer with her image (so there are two).
STEP TWO: with the eraser tool set to "very soft", erase everything on the upper layer but her mouth area (the lips and about 20-30 pixels of the surrounding skin).
STEP THREE: Click on Edit/Transform/Warp. You should get a divided box around the mouth area. You can move the sections in each divison of the box by tugging up or down on the corners. Tinker around with it until you like the results (no fears, you aren't even tinkering with the image itself but a copy!)

    Hugs,
    Tammara
